Anupam Kher discovered a delightful manner to commemorate his significant 70th birthday. The esteemed actor, accompanied by his celebrity companions, traveled to Haridwar for a spiritual observance. Among the attendees were Anil Kapoor, his spouse Sunita Kapoor, music director MM Keeravani, and Ashoke Pandit.

A spiritual observance

Several videos from Anupam's journey depict him and his friends serving food to sages. Anupam is adorned with a sandalwood tilak on his forehead and dressed in a white kurta pyjama, complemented by a stole and a rudraksha necklace. Anil Kapoor is seen in a contemporary casual shirt, while Sunita is elegantly attired in a red suit. Together, they stand on one side of a table, offering sabzi, poori, kheer, and raita to the sadhus.

Anupam Kher recently made a ceremonial offering at the Ashram's Parad Shivling. He shared with reporters, "I spent two days at Swami ji's camp in Prayag during the Kumbh. This year marked a significant birthday for me, and I chose to celebrate it in a traditional Sanatan manner. I prayed for my health and the success of my upcoming film, Tanvi The Great." Anil Kapoor, who has been a close friend of Kher for over four decades, noted their extensive collaboration in numerous films.

The film Tanvi The Great, shot in Uttarakhand, carries an important message, according to Kher, who also directed the project.

Anupam Kher's illustrious career in the film industry is noteworthy. From his iconic debut in 'Saaransh' (1984) to his latest directorial effort, 'Tanvi The Great,' he has consistently challenged himself and elevated the standards of his craft.

Kher made his entry into Indian cinema with Mahesh Bhatt's 'Saaransh' at the age of 28, portraying a 65-year-old father in mourning. His compelling portrayal of BV Pradhan, a retired educator grappling with the death of his son, left a lasting impression on both audiences and critics.

On the acting front, Kher was recently featured in Vijay 69, a touching narrative about a 69-year-old man named Vijay who challenges societal norms by preparing for a triathlon.

Directed by Akshay Roy, this YRF Entertainment film premiered on Netflix on November 8.
