In a moving Instagram Story, the actress from Maria shared a striking image from nrc_norway depicting a war-torn nation, accompanied by a powerful message intended to highlight the ongoing crisis in Syria.

"Syria: over 17 million individuals require assistance. The country has suffered nearly 14 years of conflict, displacement, and economic decline," she stated. “Although the recent governmental changes offer a potential opportunity for renewal, millions still require support, and essential needs remain unaddressed."

Jolie has been widely acknowledged for her unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts, particularly in the areas of “conservation, education, and women's rights." Serving as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, she has devoted significant time to advocating for refugees worldwide.

In her latest post, Jolie emphasized the initiatives of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), an organization she ardently supports, which strives to uphold the rights of displaced individuals globally. She has previously partnered with the NRC in regions such as Jordan and Yemen, serving as a prominent global advocate for refugees.

The actress resumed her presence on social media shortly after the conclusion of her contentious legal dispute with her former spouse, Brad Pitt. Her attorney, James Simone, informed PEOPLE, “More than eight years ago, Angelina initiated divorce proceedings against Mr. Pitt. She and the children vacated all shared properties, and since then, her focus has been on achieving peace and healing for their family.”

Although the divorce has been resolved, the ongoing legal battle concerning Brangelina's prominent French winery remains active in court. The attorney added, “This is merely one aspect of a lengthy process that began eight years ago.”

“Honestly, Angelina is fatigued, but she feels a sense of relief that this particular matter has concluded.”

Angelina Jolie, aged 49, and Brad Pitt, aged 61, are parents to six children: Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Vivienne and Knox (16). The couple first met in 2005 while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith, during which Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. After several years of dating, they wed in 2014, but Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.
