Vardhan Puri, the grandson of the esteemed late actor Amrish Puri, recently appeared in the film Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. Following his debut in Yeh Saali Aashiqui, he has participated in several other projects. His most recent work was released on Disney+ Hotstar on February 11, 2025. During the promotional activities for the film, OTTplay conducted an exclusive interview with Vardhaan, in which he reflected on his grandfather's influence. He emphasized a significant lesson he learned from Amrish Puri's career regarding the importance of diligence.

In our discussion, Vardhan Puri articulated that he has learned the value of maintaining a strong focus on his work to achieve success in the industry. "As an actor, it is essential to avoid distractions and to cultivate versatility. Continuous improvement of one's craft is crucial. One cannot become complacent, thinking that reaching a certain level is sufficient," he remarked while reminiscing about his grandfather's relentless work ethic.

The actor reflected on the dedication exhibited by the legendary performer in his cinematic endeavours. "I would often see him return home around 2:30 or 3:00 AM, and I never witnessed him resting. Whenever I entered his room, he would be rehearsing his lines while dressed in his costume. He would don the costume shoes and walk about. I would inquire, 'Dadu, why are you walking in those shoes?' He would respond, 'I want to feel at ease in these shoes. They must feel like my own; they cannot appear as if they were provided to me by the costume department,'" Vardhaan disclosed.

The 34-year-old further noted that his grandfather would pack his clothing in a suitcase for scenes to ensure it appeared full when he swung it. He also reminisced about the legendary actor's commitment to voice exercises and yoga.

In conclusion, Vardhaan reflected on his grandfather's early morning practice sessions at home. "He would recite his lines and instruct me, 'Son, sit here. This is the script. Provide me with the cues, as I am rehearsing.' It would typically be around 4:30 or 5 am, and I would often think, 'Dadu, did you arrive at 2:30?' He would respond, 'Son, I began my film career at 41. My time is limited, and I have much to accomplish.'"

The actor concluded by expressing that he witnessed his grandfather's dedication in striving to achieve success in his career. He also emphasized the importance of hard work in attaining significant accomplishments.
