Amitabh Bachchan has delivered many successful movies in his acting career. The legendary Bollywood actor also starred in Yash Chopra's 1978 film Trishul. Pandit stated that Trishul 2 will be his 'heartfelt' tribute to the legendary actor.
Amitabh Bachchan's Trishul sequel to be made
In an interview with Mid-Day, producer Anand Pandit revealed that he has a story for Trishul 2 ready. However, he hasn't spoken to Amitabh Bachchan or the original makers about the same. The sequel is currently in a nascent stage.
"Trishul 2 will narrate how life unfolded for Vijay after being accepted in the Gupta family. It would be fascinating to find out if he lived happily ever after with Geeta [Rakhee’s character], if his own family grew, and whether he was able to heal his wounds," Pandit told the tabloid.
He further mentioned that Trishul 2 will be his tribute to Amitabh Bachchan, who influenced his life even before they met in person. Anand added that the 1978 film was a 'cinematic masterpiece'. And it was Big B's performance that motivated him to move to Mumbai. "This will be my heartfelt tribute to a superstar, who has meant the world to me," stated Pandit. The producer also confirmed that a new and young director will helm Trishul's sequel.
