What led to Amitabh Bachchan joining KBC?

The Piku star marked the silver jubilee of KBC in the latest episode, which also included warm wishes from Kajol, AR Rahman, and Abhishek Bachchan. During the show, the seasoned actor shared how he got the offer to host the reality game show. He admitted that he was a bit puzzled when the concept was first pitched to him.

To help him get a grip on the format, the production team even took him to the LC Studio in London, where the game was being played. He mentioned that he told the KBC crew that he would only agree to host if they could recreate that same vibrant atmosphere in India. He joked, "The producers didn’t notice my heart racing, and the camera didn’t catch my legs shaking on the first day. I had no clue what to expect. I just went with whatever popped into my head."

Big B shares how his family felt about him joining KBC

It's surprising, but Big B's family believed he was making a huge error by agreeing to host the show. He mentioned, "When I broke the news to my family that I was going to host KBC, I won’t name names, but a few of them said, 'You're making a big mistake. People know you from the big screen, and now you're going to be on the small screen?' I didn’t pay them any mind and went for it anyway. And now, here I am, sitting in this chair for the last 25 years."
