Amitabh Bachchan is pleased with the monumental success of his film Kalki 2898 AD. He played the role of Ashwatthama in the epic sci-fi film by Nag Ashwin. In the movie, Sr Bachchan starred alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. Around 16 days after its theatrical release, Kalki 2898 AD raced past Rs 1000 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office. The legendary actor has now reacted to this massive box office success of Kalki 2898 AD.

Vyjayanthi Movies shared a video of Amitabh Bachchan on their official X handle. They mentioned Big B sharing words of joy on the gigantic successor Kalki 2898 AD. In the clip, the veteran actor highlighted that films minting Rs 1000 crore may be routine for Prabhas, as his movies generally earn that much.
"For Prabhas, this may be something of a routine because a lot of his films cross this Rs 1000 crore figure. But for me, I am truly indebted and very grateful to have been made a part of this huge concept called Kalki... I have already seen the film four times... and each time, I have discovered something new, something that I may have missed when I saw it the first time," said Big B.
Amitabh Bachchan expresses gratitude
The senior actor further expressed gratitude to the ones who were supportive in making Kalki 2898 AD a successful film. He also highlighted people appreciating the movie to an extent where it has reserved its value to more than Rs 1000 crore.
"I want to also express my thanks and gratitude for the honour it has given me in being with my co-artistes, and the stratospheric presence they have had in the film industry and still do – Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika," he concluded by saying.
Meanwhile, the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD will drop on Netflix after the theatrical run ends. It is also confirmed that the makers will come up with a second installment soon. Until then, keep following this space for more updates!
