AI edits inspired by Studio Ghibli have become a widespread phenomenon online, with Bollywood celebrities also embracing the trend. Previously, stars such as Parineeti Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt participated, and now Amitabh Bachchan has added his own Ghibli-inspired edits to the mix.

On March 30, Big B updated his blog with Ghibli-inspired edits from his recent fan meeting. The actor expressed his views on the trend, stating, "..and Ghibli.. permeates the world... within the context of communication... and the creation of the 'reel'... a concept that has gained significant popularity... one that warrants attention..." Additionally, he shared a video featuring fans congregated outside his residence, enthusiastically chanting his name as they anticipated a sighting of the star. The footage depicted him offering prayers at his home temple prior to stepping outside to greet his admirers.

Numerous Bollywood stars have adopted this trend, with Parineeti Chopra expressing her "obsession" with Ghibli-style edits featuring herself and Raghav Chadha. Kiara Advani reposted a fan-created Ghibli edit of a photo of her and Sidharth Malhotra from the film Shershaah. Additionally, Rakul Preet Singh and Bipasha Basu have shared charming AI-generated edits on their Instagram accounts.

Amitabh Bachchan’s recent and upcoming work

Amitabh was last featured alongside Rajinikanth in the Tamil action drama Vettaiyan, which was directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah's Lyca Productions. This film marked Big B's debut in Tamil cinema; however, despite the impressive cast, it garnered mixed reviews from both audiences and critics alike.

In his upcoming project, he will appear in Ribhu Dasgupta's Section 84, sharing the screen with Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee, and Nimrat Kaur. The release date for this film has not yet been revealed. Additionally, he is set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in the sequel to Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, which is also in development.
