Amitabh Bachchan recently shared on his game show Kaun Banega Crorepati that he's a big fan of Allu Arjun. But he also mentioned that he doesn't want to be compared to him. This came up during season 16 when a fan expressed her admiration for both actors.

Amitabh Bachchan talks about Allu Arjun

A homemaker from Kolkata, Rajni Barniwal, was chatting with Amitabh about her admiration for Arjun. She said, “Sir, I’m a fan of both Allu Arjun and you.” When the host chuckled and mentioned that naming him wouldn’t change anything, she stood her ground, saying she liked them both.

Amitabh then chimed in, “Allu Arjun is a super talented guy, and he totally deserves all the praise he gets. I’m a big fan too. His latest movie just came out (Pushpa 2: The Rule), and if you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should. But please, don’t put me in the same league as him.”

Rajni, however, argued that they share similarities in their entrances, styles, and comedic moments. She pointed out, “When you do comedy, both of you have that thing where you bite your collar and blink your eyes.”

When the host asked her when Amitabh did that, Rajni reminded him of his scene in Amar Akbar Anthony. She added, “There’s another thing you both have in common – your voices have this amazing richness. Meeting you has been a dream come true; now I just need to meet Allu Arjun.”

This isn't the first time

The Kalki 2898 AD star has shown love for Arjun on KBC before. He mentioned the 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise, saying, “Isn’t it a fantastic film? His performance was outstanding. I’ve never seen a slipper go viral before, and it happened while he was dancing,” referring to Arjun’s iconic move in Srivalli.

While promoting Pushpa 2 recently, Arjun shared that Amitabh is the Bollywood actor who has inspired him the most. He expressed, “Amitabh ji is my biggest inspiration. I’ve always admired Amitabh Bachchan because we grew up watching his movies. He had a significant impact on us during our childhood. So, if I had to sum it up in one word, I’d say I’m a huge fan of Amitabh ji.”

Amitabh responded to the video, saying, “#AlluArjun ji .. I’m so touched by your kind words .. you give me more credit than I deserve .. we’re all massive fans of your talent and work .. may you keep inspiring us all .. my best wishes for your ongoing success.”
