Actor Amitabh Bachchan recently revisited his 2005 film Sarkar and expressed that he felt he was 'nowhere' in the movie. He also shared images of billboards throughout Mumbai featuring posters for Abhishek's Be Happy.

Amitabh Bachchan lauds Abhishek Bachchan

In his tribute to his son, Amitabh stated, "You are truly blessed, dear Abhishek. The audience's reactions to your work are evident for the entire world to witness. My prayers and blessings are with you. You are ranked No. 1 on Amazon—what an incredible achievement."

Amitabh watched Sarkar after many years

Amitabh recounted how he stumbled upon the poster for Sarkar and decided to watch the film. He wrote, “Today, while I was waiting for the Internet to reconnect after the service providers informed me for the umpteenth time that the cable had been damaged due to construction work, I browsed through the available lists and, for some reason, noticed the poster for SARKAR.”

Amitabh is ‘dazzled’ by Abhishek's performance

"I began watching the film again, having not seen it since its premiere, and I was completely captivated. I was in sheer awe of the film's quality, its direction, and most importantly—this is not merely a father's opinion—I was astounded by Abhishek’s performance. The restraint, the close-ups, the eye expressions, the presence, and the overall performance were remarkable," Amitabh remarked.

The seasoned actor expressed his views on Abhishek Bachchan's role in the film, stating, "I am hardly present in the film... truly... it was entirely Abhishek's show. Watch it again and observe for yourself; every subtle nuance, every glance, and every moment of silence is simply breathtaking. This is not a father speaking; it is a genuine critic of cinema offering his perspective. There is no hint of depreciation or false modesty here; it is a sincere acknowledgment of the artistry involved in the film and in Abhishek's performance. I remain astounded."
