Eminent filmmaker Amit Sharma – who is receiving heaps of praise for his recent theatrical Maidaan, turned a year older on Saturday, April 13. The man, who is 44 years old now, lavishly celebrated his special day. Numerous Bollywood celebrities attended the celebration including Kajol, Boney Kapoor, and Gajraj Rao. Ajay Devgn, the lead star of Maidaan, hasn’t been spotted at the celebration yet. Devgn, however, wished Sharma on his social media handle earlier on Saturday.

Amit Sharma is indeed on cloud nine. His directorial Maidaan – which was released on April 11, has received immense praise from critics globally. Not only this, but the movie is minting crores of rupees at the box office. Thus, the filmmaker felt it was the right time to celebrate his birthday in a grand way.

All the supporting actors of Maidaan were seen at Sharma’s birthday bash. Not only this but Maidaan producer Boney Kapoor, Maidaan actor Gajraj Rao and Devgn’s wife Kajol were also spotted at the party venue in Mumbai.

Speaking from the fashion lens, both Sharma and Kajol chose to don white outfits for the occasion in which they looked simple stunning. This party is taking place at a time when famous Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert is taking place in Mumbai. Thus, Bollywood lovers might observe that many celebrities are either attending the concert or the birthday party at the moment.

Directed by Amit R Sharma, this sports drama has garnered mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences. As per a recent report from Sacnilk.com, the movie is expected to cross ₹15 crore at the box office in just three days since its release. Ajay Devgn portrays the character of the legendary Indian football coach, the late Syed Abdul Rahim in the film. Zee Studios backs this film. Actress Priyamani is the lead actress in the film. The release date of the film delightfully coincided with the festival of Eid-Al-Fitr.
