Jisshu U Sengupta and Nilanjanaa have been under the radar of the netizens due to their rumoured separation. Many people close to them know that their marriage is on the rocks. Jisshu lives in Mumbai. Nilanjanaa lives in Kolkata with her daughters Sara and Zara.  

Nilanjanaa and Jisshu kept mum regarding their relationship status, though Nilanjanaa removed the surname Sengupta from her profile. She shared a meaningful post on social media on October 24. The actress-producer took to her Insta Story and wrote, "Today I learned about a term called 'lifequake', a significant and unexpected shift in the trajectory of your life that initially feels devastating but has the beneficial outcome of catalyzing personal growth, transformation, and rebirth."  

Nilanjanaa opened a production house in the name of her two daughters. She already ran a production house with Jisshu Sengupta, but sources say that she removed herself from there. She spends time mainly with her daughters and close friends. She went to Mumbai with her two daughters and shared photos with her sister Chandana and some other friends.  

Nilanjanaa was once an established actress popular on Hindi television. She created a buzz with her role in the serial Hip Hip Hurray. But she left acting due to personal reasons. In a recent podcast, she said, "The first time I left Bombay and came to Kolkata was for love. Then I never thought of going back to Bombay, though I had that option. I talked to my mother and she also said that I did not need to return to acting."
