Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has become a box office success. After releasing in theatres on August 15, the film, directed by Amar Kaushik has become the talk of the town for its storyline, performances by the lead actors, music, and cameo appearances by Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan. However, the film is also in the headlines for the credit war between Shraddha and Rajkummar. 

Shraddha Kapoor spoke about Stree 2 amid credit war

Recently, in an interview, Shraddha Kapoor said that Stree 2 revolves around a woman’s story and she is the backbone of the film. “Stree has empowered me. The film is centred around a woman and she holds the reins of the narrative,” Shraddha Kapoor told Hello! Indo-Arabia. 

Recently, in an interview with, Abhishek Banerjee also spoke about the credit war between the actors. He said, “I don’t understand PR. I don’t understand the kind of conversations that happen on social media. Whenever something is successful, there will always be some negative points. Kuch toh negativity chahiye logo ko jisse voh baat karein, cheezon ko bada banaye. We don’t focus on these things.”

Stree 2 is Shraddha Kapoor’s career’s biggest film. After the release of the film and its massive box office success, the actress also became the second most followed Indian on Instagram surpassing PM Narendra Modi and Priyanka Chopra’s followers on the platform. 

Stree 2 Box Office Update

The film, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, has become the seventh Hindi film to join the Rs 400 crore club. In a day or two, the film is also set to cross Rs 600 at the worldwide box office. 

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. Stree 2 is part of Maddock Films' horror comedy universe which includes films such as Bhediya and Munjya.
