Allu Arjun has recently faced criticism from the Telangana government. Chief Minister Revanth and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi accused the actor of stating that "the film will be a hit" upon learning of a fan's death. Revanth asserted that the police notified him of the fan's passing while he was in the theatre. In contrast, the actor from Pushpa 2 contended that he became aware of the incident on December 4, the day following the film's premiere.
Why did the Pushpa 2 controversy start?
During his attendance at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4 at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, Allu Arjun departed from the event prematurely. He was advised by his management that the situation with the crowd was becoming increasingly chaotic. The venue was densely populated with fans, leading to a stampede-like scenario that tragically resulted in the death of a woman and left her young son in critical condition, necessitating hospitalization.
