Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, during an interview with Bollywood Bubble, reminisced about celebrating her birthday with Sanjay Dutt. She described the actor's protective and possessive demeanor towards her, noting that she is required to wear traditional attire when visiting his residence.

Ameesha says Sanjay is very possessive

She mentioned, “This was at Sanju’s home on my birthday. He is very protective and possessive. When I visit, I am not permitted to wear shorts or Western attire; I must don a salwar-kameez. Sanju often remarks, ‘You are too innocent for this film industry. I will find a suitable groom for you, arrange your marriage, and perform your kanyadaan.’”

Additionally, she highlighted Sanjay's constant concern for her well-being, stating, “He is very protective and cherishes me, always checking to see if I am alright. This particular birthday celebration took place at Sanju’s house, where I cut the cake during an intimate gathering.”

In 2022, Ameesha posted a photograph on Instagram from her birthday celebration at Sanjay’s home, captioning it, “THROWBACK WEEKEND... my private birthday celebration at @duttsanjay’s home with only my closest friends and family. My dear @duttsanjay made it incredibly special for me... the most golden-hearted man in the industry.”

Sanjay Dutt and Ameesha Patel have previously collaborated in Bollywood films such as Tathastu and Chatur Singh Two Star.

Ameesha was most recently featured in Gadar 2, where she starred alongside Sunny Deol. This film, directed by Anil Sharma, serves as a sequel to the 2001 hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and achieved remarkable success at the box office, grossing ₹686 crore globally. The actress has not yet disclosed details regarding her forthcoming project.

Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming films

Sanjay Dutt's latest appearance was in the Telugu film Double iSmart, which did not perform well commercially. He is set to appear next in the horror-comedy The Bhootnii. This film, written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt, features Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, and Sunny Singh in prominent roles. The release is slated for April 18 in theaters.
