Please refrain from sensationalizing and putting negative spins on my situation. This is my request."
Amaal also mentioned his brother, Armaan Mallik
When discussing his younger brother, singer Armaan Mallik, he mentioned that their relationship remains unchanged. "It’s been a challenge for me to express my feelings, and this is a really tough period... I will always care for my family, but for now, it’s from a distance. Our bond as brothers is unbreakable; Armaan and I are united, and nothing can separate us. Love & Peace (red heart emoji)," he wrapped up his message. What Amaal shared in his previous post
Amaal shared on Thursday that he’s struggling with clinical depression and feels his self-esteem has taken a hit due to the actions of those close to him. In a detailed Instagram post, the music director pointed fingers at his parents, composer Daboo Malik and singer Jyoti Malik, for creating a rift between him and his brother, Armaan Malik.
"I find myself in a situation where my peace has been taken away, and I feel emotionally and possibly financially drained, though that’s not my main concern. What truly matters is that I’m dealing with clinical depression because of these events. I know I can only blame myself for my choices, but my self-worth has been repeatedly undermined by the actions of those I care about, which have chipped away at my spirit," Amaal expressed in the now-deleted message.
He also mentioned that he is "distancing himself from these personal relationships" and will keep his family interactions strictly professional moving forward.
Amaal's professional journey
Amaal kicked off his career as a music composer with the film Jai Ho, featuring Salman Khan, and quickly gained recognition for his work on movies like Khoobsurat, Roy, Kapoor & Sons, and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. His brother Armaan has lent his voice to many of Amaal's compositions, including tracks like Naina, Buddhu Sa Mann, and Jab Tak.
