Sreeleela, who stars alongside Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2: The Rule, has come forward to show her support following his recent arrest. The actor was detained on Friday related to the tragic death of a fan during the premiere of his new movie. He’s currently out on temporary bail provided by the Telangana High Court.
Sreeleela talks about Allu Arjun getting arrested.
Sreeleela was in Visakhapatnam on Saturday for the opening of a new shopping mall. She chatted with the media about Pushpa 2: The Rule, mentioning in a video shared by Gulte, “Pushpa 2 has really taken off, whether it’s about the box office or the buzz. The audience has really embraced it, not just in the north or south, but worldwide.”
When asked about Arjun’s recent arrest, she said, “It’s a really unfortunate situation, whatever went down. I’m just happy he’s out now. Everyone was really concerned for him yesterday… about what was going on. He’s the type of person who always does the right thing. He respects the law, which is why he followed all the rules and acted like a good citizen.”
Sreeleela isn’t the only star showing support for Arjun after his arrest. Many celebrities, including Nani, Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Jr NTR, have expressed their sympathy. Some have voiced their support online, while others, like Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh, paid him a visit at his home in Jubilee Hills after he got interim bail.
Arjun’s dad, Allu Aravind, seemed relieved to have him back home and thanked the media for their support. Meanwhile, Surekha, Chiranjeevi’s wife and Ram Charan’s mom, couldn’t stop hugging him, and his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, was in tears when he arrived home.
Something went down.
Arjun showed up at the Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Roads on December 4 for the premiere of his new movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Following a tragic incident where a woman lost her life in a stampede caused by asphyxiation and her son ended up in critical condition, the police filed an FIR against him and the theatre management for not notifying them in advance.
He was arrested on Friday, but the Telangana High Court later granted him a 4-week interim bail after the Nampally Court sentenced him to a 14-day remand. Unfortunately, due to a technical glitch, he had to spend the night at Chanchalguda Central Jail before being released on Saturday morning.
