Following the granting of bail by the Telangana High Court concerning the Sandhya theatre incident, actor Allu Arjun was released from a central jail in Hyderabad early on Saturday morning.

Allu Arjun released from incarceration

The actor was observed seated in his vehicle as he departed from the jail premises. Security personnel were stationed outside his residence in anticipation of his release. Arjun had been taken to Chanchalguda Central Jail on Friday after a court ordered a 14-day remand. Subsequently, the court approved his interim bail on a personal bond of ₹50,000. Arjun's father-in-law, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, arrived at the jail to escort the actor home.

Previously, Ashok Reddy, the attorney representing Arjun, expressed discontent with the Hyderabad jail officials for their failure to adhere to the bail order issued for the actor. "The high court's order explicitly instructed the jail Superintendent to release Allu Arjun immediately, and the Superintendent has been directed to facilitate his release; however, despite this order, he remains in custody," stated the attorney.

What led to Arjun's arrest

Arjun's arrest was precipitated by events on December 4, when he and the Pushpa 2 team attended a screening at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The occasion attracted large crowds eager to see the star, during which a tragic incident occurred resulting in the death of a 35-year-old woman and the hospitalization of her son.

In the lead-up to this event, the police had addressed a letter that circulated in the media, which requested police presence for December 4 and 5 due to the film's release. 

The Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Central Zone issued a statement clarifying the situation: "We have received numerous requests for police presence, including those related to visits from political figures, film stars, and religious events. However, it is not feasible for us to provide security for every occasion."
