Allu Arjun responds to fan’s death
In a video lasting 3 minutes and 47 seconds, Arjun expressed his sorrow over the incident, stating, “I am deeply heartbroken by the tragic event at Sandhya Theatre. My sincere condolences go out to the bereaved family during this incredibly challenging time. I want to assure them that they are not alone in their grief, and I intend to meet with the family personally. While I respect their need for privacy to mourn, I am committed to providing any assistance necessary to help them through this difficult period.”
In the video, he mentioned in Telugu that the large crowd was ‘unexpected’ during his visit to the theatre and clarified that he learned of the fan’s death the following morning. He remarked, “When we attended the premieres of Pushpa recently at RTC Crossroads, the turnout was unexpectedly large. We discovered the next morning that a family had been injured in the crowd, and a mother of two, Revathi, sadly passed away.”
He expressed that he, along with director Sukumar and the entire Pushpa team, were ‘shocked’ upon receiving the news. “In the past 20 years, I have visited theatres for nearly every film; nothing like this has ever occurred. We were deeply disappointed and shocked; none of us felt like celebrating. We create films for audiences to enjoy in theatres, so to learn that such a tragedy occurred… it is beyond words.”
Arjun disclosed that he has contributed ₹25 lakh to the family of the deceased woman, assuring that he will not only address their medical expenses but also support the needs of the children in the future to the best of his ability. He stated, “No words or actions can alleviate the pain of this loss. However, we stand with you emotionally, ready to assist in any way you require. As a gesture of my support, I wish to donate ₹25 lakh, particularly for the benefit of the children. We will also take care of any medical costs, as we recognize the challenges faced by the family.”
He concluded the video by urging fans to exercise caution, saying, “We create films for your enjoyment with your families. Incidents like this affect us deeply as well. I urge fans to be vigilant and ensure their safe return home after visiting theatres.”
