Allu Arjun was in Delhi on Thursday to promote his latest movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. During his time there, he chatted with the media about India's rapid growth and compared the country's spirit to the themes in his film. Here’s what he had to say.

After the film hit over ₹1000 crore globally, Arjun chatted with the press and shared, “As an Indian in the capital, I truly believe India is set to lead the world’s future. We’re going to be the top country.” He also expressed in Hindi, “Ye naya Bharat hai, ye ab rukega nahi, ye kabhi jhukega nahi,” which means this new India won’t stop or bow down. He mentioned that his favorite moment in the film was when his character Pushpa Raj declared, “main jhukega nahi.”

When discussing Pushpa 2: The Rule, which broke records by being the first Indian film to earn ₹1000 crore in under a week, he remarked, “Numbers are just temporary, but the love we receive lasts forever. I’ve always thought records are meant to be shattered. It’s great to be at the top right now, but I hope to see these records broken in the next few months, no matter which film does it—Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, or any other. That’s what progress looks like; it shows India is moving forward. I really want to see those numbers surpassed soon because that’s all about growth, and I’m all for growth.”

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Sukumar's Pushpa 2: The Rule is the follow-up to his 2021 blockbuster, Pushpa: The Rise. The movie continues the journey of Pushpa Raj, who goes from being a daily wage laborer to a smuggler. Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as his wife, Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil steps in as his main rival, Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. It'll be interesting to see how the film performs in the near future.
