Actor Allu Arjun has given a shoutout to Ranbir Kapoor's popular but divisive film, Animal. In a chat with Hollywood Reporter India, he also shared his thoughts on whether he would have wanted to be part of the movie. Arjun mentioned that he’s a fan of all kinds of films—“sci-fi, romantic drama, drama, comedy, I’m into everything.”

Would Allu Arjun have been interested in doing Animal?

Arjun was asked if he had seen any recent films that made him wish he could have been a part of them. He said, "Not really. I can't think of any film that I’d want to be in. But there are definitely movies I enjoyed. I thought Animal was amazing—such a phenomenal performance. That one really stood out to me. Plus, there have been some great Telugu films released lately."

What types of movies does Allu Arjun like?

The actor shared his thoughts on the types of movies he enjoys. "I’m open to anything—big or small, serious or light. I have a pretty broad taste. I can get into indie films, but I also don’t mind a more mainstream flick. I’m down for any genre as long as it’s done well. Horror and dark murder mysteries aren’t really my thing, but if they’re crafted nicely, I’ll give them a shot. I love all kinds of films—sci-fi, romantic dramas, comedies, you name it!" he said.

All about animals

Animal, released in 2023, is an action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. While it got a mix of reviews, some critics pointed out its portrayal of toxic masculinity and misogyny. Despite this, the film performed really well at the box office.

Allu Arjun's latest movie is quite the talk of the town

Arjun was last spotted in Sukumar's Pushpa 2: The Rule. Dropping on December 5, this sequel picks up where 2021's Pushpa: The Rise left off, a film that really hooked viewers with its intense story, catchy music, and standout performances. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Pushpa 2 is brought to life by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with Sukumar Writings.
