Two weeks have passed since the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, which culminated in a tragic incident resulting in the death of a woman and the hospitalization of her young son. Subsequently, a case has been registered against the lead actor Allu Arjun and the theatre management for purportedly failing to notify the police of his attendance. On Wednesday, Allu Aravind, the actor's father, paid a visit to the victim in the hospital.

Producer Aravind held a press conference following his visit to the young boy who is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Providing an update on the child's health, he stated, “I have just visited Sri Tej in the ICU and consulted with the medical team attending to him. The boy has shown gradual improvement over the past ten days, although a full recovery may take additional time. We are prepared to offer any necessary support to facilitate his healing. I am grateful that the government has also intervened to assist him in returning to normalcy.”

Aravind then addressed the notable absence of actor Allu Arjun, who has not yet visited the family or the boy in the hospital. “Many are curious as to why Allu Arjun has not yet come to the hospital. He intended to visit the day following the incident; however, the hospital staff advised him to refrain from doing so for safety reasons. This was also the day a legal case was initiated against him,” Aravind explained.

He further emphasized that their legal counsel, led by Niranjan Reddy, has recommended that the actor refrain from visiting the family at this time. “Our legal team has also advised Bunny against going to the hospital or meeting with the parents. I have received authorization from the relevant authorities to visit the boy today, as he expressed regret for not being able to see them. I extend my gratitude to CM Revanth Reddy, the police, and the hospital staff for their cooperation,” he concluded.

What transpired?

On December 4, Arjun, accompanied by his Pushpa 2 co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, visited Sandhya Theatre located at RTC X Roads in Hyderabad. His presence attracted a large crowd, leading to a chaotic situation reminiscent of a stampede. In response, the police have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Arjun and the theatre management for failing to notify them of his visit.

On December 13, the Chikkadapally Police apprehended Arjun, who was subsequently detained overnight at Chanchalaguda Central Jail. Following his appearance in the Nampally Court, he was placed under a 14-day remand. However, the Telangana High Court later granted him a 4-week interim bail, permitting his return home. The actor has since addressed the media, expressing his sorrow regarding the incident.
