How did you come up with the idea of ​​the concept in the movie.. Who did you share it with first?

The basic idea of ​​'Janaka but Ganaka' has been in the mind since time immemorial. The idea is like a man suing a condom company. Otherwise I don't know how to drive. I am the youngest in our family. I am the last one in my family to get married. In this order, I used to observe all the families including my brother, sister and friends. In everyone's home, there was no discussion about marriage and children. This is a universal emotion. I thought it would be better to tell this as a story. I first told Prashant Nilgari about this idea that came to me. By then I was traveling with him. Then I told Nanigari who was in Rajugari's company. I told the Guntur distributor through him. Later I shared it with Harshit. He liked the idea and told the king. Rajugari liked it and got the green signal to do the film...I found it surprising. Because, this is an out of the box movie. Ayushmann Khurrana's Vicky Donor is a Bollywood movie similar to Badai Ho. Such out-of-the-box films have not come in Telugu. The good thing that happened to us in the time of covid is that more audience was attracted to OTT. Due to this, the audience started watching different movies. So, I told the story to the king with the courage that the audience would like my story as well.

Did you tell the story of 'Janaka but Ganaka' first to Naga Chaitanyagari!

I told you.. Travel also happened for some years. But at the same time he got busy with Shekhar Kammulagari's project. Later he continued to do films. In this time, our stories will also become old!. While thinking about what to do, Rajugaru suggested Suhas. He liked it and immediately agreed. The movie sets went up.

To what extent do you think such a concept will appeal to the Telugu audience?

Star heroes like Sr. NTR and Chiranjeevi were applauded by the audience when they put on lady getups. When heroes with a mass image try something new, the audience appreciates it. That's how great movies came out. Telugu audience gods. Prashant Neel has also said this many times. After the lockdown, films like Jati Ratna and Uppena became blockbuster hits. Telugu movies are super hit if the movie is good. Malayalam movies like Premalu and Manjimal Boys were well received by the Telugu audience. Our audience is extraordinary in this respect.

As a director I was able to work very comfortably with my team.

Are you touching any adult theme in the movie?

If you look at the movie Janaka, you will not call it an adult theme movie. Because there are married people in our house. We often observe elders asking them if there is any good news. Asking like that is not an adult theme! But some people think that it is an adult theme. And when it comes to the movie, Janaka is a movie that everyone watches. The story revolves around the point of wanting children. As a person, I don't watch such films, I don't make them... I don't even anchor them. Our pen does not write such words when there is a royal producer. Jandhyalagaru is my favorite writer. His style is very healthy humor in the movie. There is no vulgarity anywhere. If the family audience can't watch this film, I have written a story where I feel like I have failed as a director. As a writer I like to express the emotions in our roots. I think they all connect. This movie is as much loved by women as it is by men.

How did Suhas react during the making of this film?

Suhasgaru is very emotionally connected to the movie. His wife's delivery took place during the shooting of this film. When the scenes between the husband and wife take place in the movie, they are emotionally connected to it. While I was also shooting on the sets, there were many emotionally connected scenes. I think the audience will connect as well.

The reason for choosing Sangeertana as the heroine?

We thought of many heroines for 'Janaka Buti Ganaka'. We also auditioned some people. Once I tried to find out the details by looking at Sangeertana's photos on Instagram. He said that he will make a short film in Telugu. I was called and auditioned. I did workshops for language. She also said dubbing as she has a touch of Telugu.

What kind of advice did Dil Raju give?

After hearing the story, Dil Raju garu said let's make the film. He was not involved anywhere in the matter of making. With his experience, he gave some advice on the editing side and re-recording side.
