At a Meet & Greet event, fans eagerly inquired about Dulhania 3, urging her to collaborate once more with Varun Dhawan and questioning if any developments were underway. Although appreciative of their enthusiasm, Alia confessed that she shares their uncertainty regarding the film's status. She remarked, "Yes, but there should be a script, right?" In response, fans enthusiastically suggested, "We fans will create it!"

Alia was charmed by their spirited response, laughing and encouraging them to pursue their idea. "That’s a fantastic suggestion. It would be a groundbreaking endeavor. Why don’t you all come together and write a script? It would be remarkable. It’s a brilliant idea, indeed... go ahead!" Should the filmmakers announce the project after nearly a decade, fans would undoubtedly celebrate.

According to Pinkvilla, Karan Johar has shown enthusiasm for the potential creation of the film in the future. He recently remarked, "I am uncertain about how to organize these projects. We are indeed interested in producing the third installment of the Dulhania series, and I am optimistic that it will happen eventually. This love story franchise is unique, as it is solely our creation. We have seen Humpty, Badri, and now we eagerly anticipate developing another Dulhania film."
