Alia was recently seen in Jigra. Co-starring Vedang Raina, the film is directed by Vasan Bala. Ever since it was release, the film has been underperforming at the box office. For the uninitiated, Jigra took an opening of Rs 4.55 crore at the box office. It was followed by Alia's film minting Rs 6.55 crore and Rs 5.5 crore on days two and three at the ticket window.
