Actor Alia Bhatt recently took a hiatus from her professional commitments to join her family in commemorating a significant occasion—her grandmother Gertrude Hoelzer's 96th birthday. Alia’s mother, actress Soni Razdan, shared a touching post on Instagram, featuring previously unseen photographs of Gertrude Hoelzer, which offered fans a glimpse into their cherished family gathering.

On Monday, Soni revisited fond memories by posting a collection of nostalgic images of her mother, Gertrude Hoelzer, on Instagram. Among the throwback photos was a captivating vintage shot of her mother in a bikini. To conclude the tribute, Soni included a heartwarming contemporary image of Alia lovingly embracing her grandmother, with Gertrude's face subtly obscured.
“When we reminded Mummy that she is 96 today, her first reaction was, ‘Oh, not very old, then!’ Happy Birthday, gorgeous Mummy. May you continue to think young and live long (heart emojis),” Soni expressed.
Additionally, Soni posted a picture of a chocolate cake adorned with the message, “Happy 96th Birthday Mummy.” For the celebration, Alia donned a lavender chikankari kurta, while Shaheen chose an elegant all-black ensemble.
The post quickly garnered significant attention. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari remarked, “So stunning! Wishing her a happy birthday and many joyful, healthy years ahead,” while Anaita Shroff added, “Happy 96th!”

Alia is set to appear alongside Sharvari in the first female-led film within the YRF Spy Universe. Bobby Deol is also rumoured to be part of the ensemble. Directed by Shiv Rawail, this film marks the sixth instalment in Aditya Chopra's YRF Spy Universe, following the releases of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3.
In addition to Alpha, Alia has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War on her agenda. She will share the screen with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. In a recent interview, Vicky discussed his experience working on Love & War: "We have just begun filming. I feel very comfortable collaborating with Ranbir and Alia—this is my second project with both Sanju and Raazi. They are incredibly easygoing and talented actors, making it enjoyable on set."
