Alia Bhatt has donned creations by renowned fashion designer Sabyasachi on numerous occasions throughout her career. Whether it was her appearance at the MET Gala last year or her bridal ensemble, Sabyasachi has partnered with the actress to create some of the most exquisite designs. As the designer marked his 25th anniversary with a lavish show in Mumbai on Saturday, Alia commemorated his journey with a heartfelt Instagram post, reminiscing about their collaborative experiences over the years.

Alia recalls wedding memories in Sabyasachi design

In her latest Instagram update, Alia posted a collection of images showcasing her outfit from the previous evening. She donned a meticulously crafted black Murshidabad silk saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the designer's runway presentation. Additionally, a video featured her preparations for last year's Met Gala, during which she expressed that she has always felt her best in the designer's attire.

In her caption, Alia remarked: "Celebrating 25 years of dream weaving, heritage preservation, and excellence redefined. To me, Sabya, you represent more than just a designer—you are a visionary and a storyteller.

I have been fortunate to wear your creations throughout the years, from prestigious global red carpets to significant personal events (wedding memories I will treasure forever). Your work transcends mere fashion; it is art that harmoniously blends tradition and innovation with unparalleled elegance."

Sabyasachi crafted the exquisite ivory embroidered drape for Alia's wedding day. Additionally, Alia's wedding trousseau featured a bespoke Sabyasachi lehenga, adorned with the phrase ‘the fourteenth of April’ elegantly embroidered in gold on her dupatta. The couple exchanged vows on April 14, 2022, at their residence in Mumbai.

Notably, Alia chose to wear the saree again when she attended the National Award ceremony in 2023, where she received the Best Actress award for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

On the professional front, Alia's most recent appearance was in Jigra. She is also set to star in the spy thriller Alpha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War.
