Karan Johar calls Chhaava a 'blockbuster'

Karan Johar recently posted a promotional image for Chhaava on his Instagram Story, expressing his excitement with the message, "#chaava!!!! Congratulations on the BLOCKBUSTER success of a compelling film featuring an emotionally charged and relentless final act."

He continued by praising the performances, stating, "Vicky Kaushal delivers an outstanding performance, embodying the SOUL and essence of every scene, while Akshaye Khanna's portrayal is remarkable! Congratulations to Dinoo, Laxman, and the entire team at @maddockfilms."

In Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal takes on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying his wife, Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna has received acclaim for his role as Aurangzeb, while Diana Penty plays Aurangzeb's daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.

Chhaava is a historical action film that chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire and is based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.

According to Sacnilk, Chhaava garnered Rs. 24.50 crore at the box office on its fifth day, bringing its total earnings to Rs. 165 crore. Early estimates suggest that the film will surpass Rs. 166 crore on its sixth day.
