Alaya F opens up about Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's underwhelming box office performance - 'The film still...'

Alaya F was recently seen in Srikanth, featuring Rajkummar Rao in the titular role. While the actress got a positive feedback for her latest release, things were different for her previous project, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. It was one of the year's highly anticipated releases but failed to live up to people's expectations. The movie clashed with Ajay Devgn's Maidaan on Eid this year. Despite a big star cast, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action spectacle couldn't do the numbers it should have at the box office. Now, Alaya F has broken her silence over the underwhelming perfomance of BMCM.

Alaya F on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's box office performance

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Alaya F reflected upon Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's release and her character. The actress said she got a lot out of the movie. She stated that it was a unique experience to see the kind of response she received.

When asked about BMCM underperforming at the box office, the Bollywood actress said, "The film still made money, just not as much as it should have. But a lot of people saw it, compared to many of the other films I’ve done."

Talking about her role in the film, Alaya said her character was 'pretty polarising' and a different experience for her. That said, the actress feels people enjoyed watching her in commercial space, which she believes is good for her as she continued doing all types of cinema.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on OTT

Meanwhile, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will soon have its OTT premiere. The film will drop on Netflix. As BMCM released on April 11, one can expect the action-entertainer to premiere on the OTT giant sometime in June. A film usually has its digital release after two months of a theatrical release.

Coming to the film's star cast, Alaya shared screen space with Akshay, Tiger, Manushi Chhillar, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Have you watched BMCM yet? Share your thoughts by tweeting @ottplayapp on X.
