Akshay Kumar is currently engaged in promoting his forthcoming film, Kesari Chapter 2. On April 15, the actor attended a special screening of the film in New Delhi, which was attended by various politicians and esteemed guests. During a media interaction, Akshay conveyed a message to his fans in anticipation of the film's release.

Akshay Kumar makes a request to the fans

While addressing the media at the event, Akshay encouraged all Indians to view the film and gain insight into a lesser-known aspect of the nation’s history. He made a heartfelt appeal to his audience: “I kindly ask everyone to keep their phones in their pockets and pay attention to every dialogue in this film. It would mean a great deal. If you check your Instagram during the movie, it would be a disservice to the film. Therefore, I urge everyone to refrain from using their phones,” he stated.

About Kesari Chapter 2

In Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar portrays Advocate C. Sankaran Nair, who challenged the British Raj to reveal the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. This film serves as a spiritual sequel to Akshay's successful 2019 release, Kesari, and is inspired by the book The Case That Shook The Empire, authored by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.

The film features R. Madhavan in the role of Adv. Neville McKinley, Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill, Regina Cassandra portraying Palat Kunhimalu Amma, the wife of Sankaran Nair, Simon Paisley Day as General Reginald Dyer, and Alexx O'Nell as Lord Chelmsford. Additionally, Vishak Nair, Amit Sial, and Manoj Pahwa play supporting roles. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is set to premiere in theaters on April 18.

The teaser for the film has created significant excitement. In it, Akshay is heard using a profanity directed at the British. During the trailer launch event, he addressed this by stating, "Yes, I have used that word. However, what is noteworthy is that the judge informs my character that he remains a slave to the British Empire. Isn't that a more severe insult? I believe there is no greater profanity than that."
