Akshay Kumar is currently making headlines as his film Sarfira hit the theatres today. However, the actor is now in the news, and not for all good reasons. Khiladi Kumar, who has been busy promoting his film since the last few days complained about not feeling well and got himself tested. Turns out that the actor is Covid-19 positive. 

Akshay Kumar tests positive for COVID-19

Akshay will not be attending the biggest event in India, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding as he has now isolated himself.

According to HT City, Akshay Kumar will not be attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding today as he has tested positive for COVID-19. The report by the portal stated, “Akshay Kumar had been promoting his latest release Sarfira when he felt unwell, and decided to get tested after being told that some crew members of his promotions team had tested positive for Covid.” 

For the uninitiated, groom-to-be Anant Ambani had personally gone to invite him to his wedding. On the other hand, his recent film with Radhika Madan 'Sarfira', was released in cinemas today, on July 12, 2024. 

The report further stated that the actor will also skip the last part of the promotion of his film Sarfira. “It’s disappointing but the responsible guy that Akshay is, he has immediately isolated himself,” the report concluded.
