Actor Akshay Kumar recently expressed his preference for being recognized as a 'sun' rather than a 'star,' providing a rationale for this choice. During the Republic Plenary Summit, when inquired about his discipline, the actor remarked on the peculiarity of people questioning him about it, while not directing similar inquiries towards individuals who maintain sedentary lifestyles.

Akshay Kumar doesn’t want to be a star

At the event, Akshay humorously expressed his aspiration to be more than just a star; he aims to be the sun. He remarked, “I don’t want to be a star, as stars only appear at night. I wish to rise in the morning; I want to be the sun.” Thus, he clarified his disinterest in being merely a star.

He also acknowledged the presence of sports icons Sania Mirza and Anil Kumble in the audience, commending their remarkable contributions to the nation, which he attributed to their unwavering discipline.

Akshay further stated, “We all maintained a disciplined lifestyle during our school years; I fail to comprehend why that changes as we mature. People often ask why I go to bed early and rise early. Why is that even a question?”

In various interviews, Akshay has consistently emphasized the importance of a disciplined lifestyle and prioritizing his health.

Recent work

In 2024, Akshay Kumar appeared in several films, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira, Khel Khel Mein, Stree 2, and Singham Again. Notably, his film Sky Force featured Veer Pahariya in his debut role, alongside prominent actors Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan.

Additionally, this year, he is set to star in Kesari Chapter 2, Jolly LLB 3, and Housefull 5, as well as the Telugu film Kannappa. Akshay is currently in production for Bhooth Bangla, Welcome to the Jungle, and Hera Pheri 3, which are expected to be released later.
