Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated cop action film Singham Again finally unveiled its gripping trailer on October 7 at an event in Mumbai. The trailer launch on Monday was a star-studded affair, with the ensemble cast gracing the event. While Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor attended the launch and shared their insights about their upcoming film, Akshay Kumar missed the event due to his busy schedule. However, the Sooryavanshi star shared a special video message and participated in the event virtually.
Akshay Kumar has a sweet message for fans
Bollywood’s beloved Khiladi Kumar is also a part of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. He will be seen as Sooryavanshi in the film. Ahead of the film’s awaited Diwali release on November 1, the makers dropped the official trailer today. Featuring a stellar ensemble of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, Singham Again is the third installment of the Singham franchise. Akshay couldn't be a part of the trailer launch event today since he is busy shooting for Housefull 5 in the UK. However, he became part of the event virtually.
In a video message, Akshay Kumar shared that he is currently shooting for Housefull 5 and that’s the reason he couldn’t join the Singham Again team. He also extended gratitude towards fans and urged them to give the same support to Singham Again as they showered on his action film Sooryavanshi. It was released during the pandemic but managed to impress even with 50 percent occupancy.
Speaking in Hindi, Akshay shared, "I want to apologize as I could not attend the Singham 3 trailer launch in person today. But looking at this housefull theatre has given me so much joy. I remember during the pandemic, there was a 50 per cent occupancy, yet people turned up to watch my and Rohit Shetty's film, Sooryavanshi. You helped it become a blockbuster. Please give that kind of support to Singham Again as well."
He further joked, "Mera bhai Tiger thoda kam bolta ha isliye Ranveer Singh ko choda hua hai. Let us celebrate Diwali together this season. Ajay, I love you."
Arjun Kapoor on being part of Singham Again
Arjun Kapoor, who plays the lead antagonist in Singham Again, was also present at the trailer launch event. The 39-year-old actor expressed excitement to be a part of the popular franchise. During the conversation, Arjun shared that he has already worked with Ranveer Singh (Gunday) but it is a pleasure to work with other formidable stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. He went on to call the moment "surreal". “I’ve worked with Ranveer but it is a privilege to work with Ajay sir, Akshay sir, Rohit sir, Tiger. Right now, I’m just pinching myself to believe this is actually true,” the Ishaqzaade actor said.
Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty’s megacop verse in Singham Again is expected to be a delightful watch for action genre fans. Ajay will reprise his role as Bajirao Singham, while Akshay will be back as Veer Sooryavanshi and Ranveer as Simmba. The new additions include Deepika Padukone as cop Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya.
