Akshay Kumar arranged for Mukesh Chhabra's mother's treatment; Casting director says 'He doesn't talk about it...'

Akshay Kumar is one of the most kind-hearted actors in the film industry. He is enjoying the release of Khel Khel Mein which did decent at the box office. Amid this, casting director Mukesh Chhabra revealed that the Khiladi star helped him arrange for the heart treatment of his mother, despite the two not being close friends. Chhabra also said that when he needed to contact a specific doctor at a hospital, Akshay came to the rescue.

In a recent interaction with Ranveer Allahbadia, casting director Mukesh Chhabra recalled how he received big help from Akshay Kumar two years ago for the heart treatment of his mother, Kamal Chhabra. Filmmaker Anand L Rai then informed him that the doctor whose appointment they needed was close to Akshay.
“So, I sent Akshay Kumar a message and he immediately called. He arranged everything in that hospital, he called me almost every day, continuously for 15 days. He would ask, ‘How is your mother doing? How are you?’ He also spoke to the doctor continuously. He doesn’t talk about it; I never spoke about it either," Mukesh recalled.
Sharing Kumar's down-to-earth behavior, Chhabra further added that despite being so busy, the Khel Khel Mein actor would ask every morning about his mother's health. Meanwhile, Mukesh Chhabra’s mother passed away in 2023.

Akshay Kumar was recently seen in Khel Khel Mein. The comedy-drama directed by Mudassar Aziz also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan.
Speaking about the plot, it revolves around seven friends whose secrets get unveiled over a game night. Recently, UAE fans expressed their disappointed over local censorship chopping off Fardeen Khan’s character's sexuality part from the film. Reacting to this, the director called it 'heartbreaking.'
Meanwhile, Akshay will also be seen in films like Sky Force and Welcome To The Jungle this year.
