Tabu and Akshay Kumar, who previously worked together on classics like Hera Pheri and Tu Chor Main Sipahi, are back in action after 25 years for Priyadarshan's horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. Akshay greeted her on set with a big hug.

On Wednesday, the team behind Bhooth Bangla posted a cute pic on social media showing Akshay Kumar giving Tabu a warm hug on the film set in Jaipur. They captioned it, “Some things just get better and more iconic with time! @priyadarshan.official, @akshaykumar, and @tabutiful are reuniting after 25 years for #BhootBangla in Jaipur.”

The movie brings together Tabu, director Priyadarshan, and actor Paresh Rawal once again. This trio, along with Akshay, last teamed up for the iconic film Hera Pheri.

Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, is a horror-comedy produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, in collaboration with Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films. Co-producers include Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. The story comes from Akash A. Kaushik, while the screenplay is crafted by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The film is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2026.

Akshay Kumar's new movie releases on the horizon

Akshay Kumar has another project lined up besides Bhooth Bangla. He’s got Sky Force coming out, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. The movie features Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in important roles and tells the story of India’s counterattack on the Sargodha airbase in Pakistan during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani Air War. Sky Force is set to hit theaters on January 24, 2025. Plus, he’ll be in Housefull 5, which includes stars like Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, and Fardeen Khan. That one is expected to come out in June this year.
