Hera Pheri is regarded as one of the most cherished comedic franchises in Bollywood. Anticipation for Hera Pheri 3 has been palpable among fans since its announcement. This third installment will see the reunion of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty in this comedic adventure. In a recent interview, Akshay provided an update on Hera Pheri 3 that is sure to thrill fans. He indicated that production for the film is set to commence this year, contingent upon favorable circumstances.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar was asked about the third installment of Hera Pheri. That's when the actor said that even he was waiting to begin Hera Pheri 3's shoot.

I am uncertain, but if all proceeds as anticipated, it is expected to commence this year. When we embarked on the project of Hera Pheri, we had no inkling that it would evolve into such a phenomenon. Even upon viewing the film, I found it difficult to comprehend its impact. While it was indeed humorous, none of us foresaw that the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam would attain cult status, remarked Akshay.

The actor also commended his Hera Pheri co-star Paresh Rawal. They are presently collaborating on a new project titled Bhooth Bangla. "We were recently filming Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him. Although we had a great deal of fun during Hera Pheri, there are certain experiences that cannot be shared publicly," he noted.

For those unfamiliar, the 2000 film Hera Pheri was directed by filmmaker Priyadarshan. In this film, Akshay portrayed the character Raju, while Suniel took on the role of Shyam. Paresh Rawal, on the other hand, played the iconic character of Babu Bhaiya.

Akshay Kumar has an extensive array of intriguing films scheduled for release. He is currently preparing for the debut of Sky Force, set to premiere on January 24, 2025. Additionally, the actor has several other projects in the pipeline, including Jolly LLB 3, Kannappa, Shankara, Welcome to the Jungle, Housefull 5, among others.
