Actor Ajith Kumar's son, Aadvik, had an exciting encounter with his football hero, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, in Chennai. His mother, former actress Shalini Ajith Kumar, shared an adorable video on her Instagram, capturing Aadvik's joy as he got a friendly pat on the head from the Brazilian soccer star.

Shalini shared an adorable video featuring Aadvik and some other young boys taking a picture with Ronaldinho. Toward the end of the clip, the football star spots Aadvik and gives him a gentle pat on the head, even as his security team starts to usher him away. In her post, Shalini expressed, “The moment my son met his idol… and got a blessing that he’ll cherish forever. So grateful! #DreamsComeTrue.”

Aadvik was spotted by the paparazzi, looking thrilled as he hung out with his friends, eagerly waiting to meet Ronaldinho. In the footage, he’s seen chatting with his mom and buddies before they were allowed inside. The two met during the India vs Brazil football match held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. This exciting game featured Brazil Legends going up against India All Stars and was put together by the Football Plus Soccer Academy and Brazil Soccer Academy.

Aadvik isn't new to football matches. While Ajith was filming Good Bad Ugly in Spain, Shalini and Aadvik went to see a La Liga game between Real Madrid and Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Ajith Kumar's latest projects

Ajith appeared in Thunivu in 2023 and Vidaamuyarchi in 2025. Both movies got mixed reviews and had a modest box office performance. Still, there's a lot of excitement surrounding his next project, Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. Set to hit theaters on April 10, the film also features Trisha Krishnan in a leading role.
