In January, we reported that Ajith Kumar was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award, by the government of India. On Monday, the actor-racer was presented the award by the president of the country, Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony that took place at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Alongside Ajith Kumar, others from the film sector, such as Nandamuri Balakrishna, singer Pankat Udhas, and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, also received the award.

Actor Ajith Kumar, who recently starred in the Tamil film Good Bad Ugly, accepted the Padma Bhushan award from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on Monday. The award ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, where several other notable individuals were also honored with the third highest civilian award. Ajith Kumar was one of the 19 recipients of the award. The Indian government announced that Ajith Kumar received the award in the category of art.
“He stands as a monumental figure in Indian cinema, especially within the Tamil film sector. His talent for embodying a diverse range of characters has solidified his status as one of the most adaptable actors in the field. His impact reaches well beyond the boundaries of film. He engages in philanthropic endeavors, providing assistance to numerous causes without pursuing public recognition,” it was stated during the award presentation.
As an individual who excelled both in front of the camera and on the racing circuit, the Billa 2 star boasts a substantial fan following in Tamil Nadu and recently participated in a car racing event alongside his team, AK Racing.
The release date for Good Bad Ugly on OTT

Ajith Kumar was recently featured in the Tamil action drama Good Bad Ugly. The movie, which also includes his Mankatha co-star Trisha Krishnan, will be available on Netflix in a few days. Tentatively, the film is set to begin streaming from the first week of May.
Good Bad Ugly is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran and also features Usha Uthup, Rahul Dev, Kingsley, Roadies Raghu, Pradeep Kabra, Harry Josh, KGF Avinash, Yogi Babu, Prasanna, Prabhu, Priya Prakash, Simran, Tinnu Anand, Sayaji Shinde, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Arjun Das, and others.
