The highly anticipated trailer for Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 was released on April 8. In the original film, Ileana D'Cruz portrayed Ajay's wife, but in the sequel, Vaani Kapoor has taken over this role. At the trailer launch event, Ajay commented on the casting alteration, while Vaani dismissed any speculation regarding rivalry.

When asked about his character's 'new wife' in the sequel, Ajay remarked, "This is a common theme in many Hollywood films. However, Sean Connery is not the sole James Bond. It is the character that audiences connect with, and new actors continue to join the franchise."
Vaani also addressed whether there was any sense of pressure or competition with Ileana, stating, "There is no jealousy towards the previous actress. We have a wonderful relationship off-screen. My focus is on delivering my role as authentically as possible while adhering to the director's and writer's vision. This film reveals a different aspect of my persona, which felt both new and invigorating."
About Raid 2
Directed Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, this film serves as a sequel to the 2018 movie Raid and features Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor in prominent roles. The narrative centers on the return of IRS officer Amay Patnaik (played by Devgn) as he confronts another instance of white-collar crime. The production team includes Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, with the film being presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, and produced under the Panorama Studios label. Raid 2 is set to hit theaters on May 1.

Aside Following his role in Raid 2, Ajay has a number of films lined up. He is set to feature in Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Mrunal Thakur, as well as in De De Pyaar De 2 with R. Madhavan and Rakul Preet Singh.
On the other hand, Vaani will be co-starring with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the forthcoming film Abir Gulaal. Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, this film signifies Fawad's return to Indian cinema and is scheduled for release in theaters on May 9.
