Recent sightings have dispelled rumours regarding difficulties in the marriage of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. On Thursday, Aishwarya was seen attending a school event for her daughter Aaradhya in Mumbai, accompanied by her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan.

The cordial interaction between Aishwarya and Amitabh Bachchan was captured on video on Thursday, with several clips emerging on social media. This footage dispels any speculation regarding marital issues between Aishwarya and Abhishek.

In the video shared by a photographer from Mumbai, Aishwarya was seen attending the annual day event at Dhirubhai Ambani School in Mumbai alongside the Bachchan family on Thursday.

Aishwarya was observed arriving at the venue with Amitabh, subsequently guiding her father-in-law inside while holding his hand. She was dressed in traditional Indian attire. The video also features Abhishek exiting the same vehicle, as the family warmly greeted the event organizers with embraces.

Social media users expressed their satisfaction upon viewing the video which dispels rumours regarding the difficulties in Aishwarya and Abhishek's relationship.

"This puts all the rumours to rest once and for all. Now the media will need to seek other stories," remarked one user, while another added, "RESPECT BACCHAN FAMILY."

What we know about the rumours

Speculation regarding discord between Aishwarya Rai and the Bachchan family emerged in July 2024, coinciding with Anant Ambani’s wedding. Aishwarya attended the event separately from her daughter, Aaradhya, while the rest of the Bachchan family—comprising Amitabh Bachchan, his spouse Jaya Bachchan, their son Abhishek, daughter Shweta, grandson Agastya Nanda, and granddaughter Navya Naveli—arrived together.

The rumours intensified following the absence of birthday wishes from Abhishek or the Bachchan family for Aishwarya earlier this month. They have yet to state these speculations. Aishwarya and Abhishek were married in 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, born on November 16, 2011. Although they have not publicly commented on the rumours, their recent public appearances together appear to counter the ongoing speculation.
