Actor Aishwarya Rai took to Instagram on Tuesday to honor her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, on the 8th anniversary of his passing. She shared several photos in his memory.

The first image showed a decorated photo frame of Aishwarya's late father. In the photo, her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan was seen with her head bowed in front of her grandfather's picture. In the following image, Aishwarya also lowered her head. Both Aishwarya and Aaradhya were dressed in white.

Aishwarya shared the photo with a sweet caption that read, "✨🙏 Love you forever, my beloved Daddy-Ajjaaa! ❤️😊🌟🧿 Thanks for all your endless love and blessings!"

Aishwarya's family background

Krishnaraj passed away in 2017 in Mumbai after battling a long illness. Aishwarya shared a deep bond with her father and always remembers his birth and death anniversaries. She is the daughter of Krishnaraj and Brindya Rai and has a brother named Aditya Rai.

Aishwarya married actor Abhishek Bachchan on April 20, 2007, in a small wedding ceremony held at one of Amitabh Bachchan's bungalows, Prateeksha. The couple welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya, on November 16, 2011.

Aishwarya's most recent movie

Aishwarya was last spotted in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2. She snagged the Best Actress in a Leading Role (Critics) award at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) held in Dubai for her performance in the film. This epic historical action drama, directed by Mani Ratnam, hit theaters in 2023.

The movie also featured a talented cast, including Vikram, Ravi Mohan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, among others. It tells the story of Prince Arulmozhi Varman, who later becomes Emperor Rajaraja I, and his family's efforts to protect the Chola Empire from various threats.

As of now, Aishwarya hasn't revealed her next project.
