Ahaana Krishna's film Nancy Rani marked the directorial debut of Manu James. Unfortunately, the project encountered a devastating loss with the passing of its director, Manu James, in 2023. The Malayalam film, which includes performances by Arjun Ashokan, Aju Varghese, and Lal, is now scheduled for release on April 18, 2025. Aju Varghese elaborates on the film's journey to the screen, attributing its eventual release to the dedicated efforts of the director's wife, Nyna.

Nancy Rani's director, Manu James, sadly passed away in February 2024, at a time when the film was reportedly in the post-production phase. In light of this loss, the remaining members of the production team united their efforts to ensure the film's release in theaters.
Reflecting on Manu James and his premature passing, Aju Varghese expressed that he is encountering such a situation for the first time in his life. While reminiscing about the experiences shared with the director during the filming of Nancy Rani, Aju Varghese conveyed his hope for the film to be showcased in theaters.
Aju Varghese expressed his surprise at the film's release during the press conference for the promotion of Nancy Rani. He acknowledged the significant contributions of Manu's wife and her father, as well as producers Roy Sebastian and John Varghese.
He remarked, "This achievement is not insignificant. We are all aware of the challenges involved in getting a film to the theaters, particularly in light of financial constraints and various other obstacles." The actor extended his gratitude to everyone who supported the realization of Manu's vision.

Nancy Rani commenced filming in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and encountered numerous challenges. Ahaana Krishna plays the lead role of Nancy Rani, a devoted fan of Mammootty, and the film chronicles her journey along with the various obstacles she confronts.
Conversely, Aju was most recently featured in Aap Kaise Ho, which also starred Dhyan Sreenivasan.
