Actress Demi Moore has been recognized as the world’s most beautiful woman of 2025 by People Magazine in their latest edition. At the age of 62, Demi is among the oldest individuals to receive this honor. In a frank interview for the cover feature, Demi discussed her body image struggles and her ‘more relaxed’ relationship with her body at this time.

On Wednesday, People Magazine unveiled their May 5 issue featuring its digital cover. Demi adorned the cover and was also disclosed to be the magazine's selection for the most beautiful woman of 2025. The 62-year-old icon has experienced a resurgence over the past year with her film, The Substance, garnering praise and earning her an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe victory.

Talking about being referred to as beautiful in her 60s, Demi remarked, “I have a deeper gratitude for all that my body has experienced that led me to this point. It doesn’t mean that occasionally I look in the mirror and don’t think, ‘Oh God, I look old,’ or ‘Oh, my face is sagging’ — I do. But I can acknowledge that that’s where I’m at today, and I recognize the distinction today is that it doesn’t determine my worth or who I am. ”

The actress confessed that she did 'torture myself' for the ideal body when she was younger, and was 'really just punishing myself'. "Now I have a much more intuitive, easygoing relationship with my body. I trust when it signals that it needs something to eat, that it’s thirsty. I listen to my body today, and I experience significantly less fear. When I was younger, I felt as though my body was betraying me. And so I just attempted to control it. And now I don’t function from that perspective. It’s a much more harmonious relationship," she added.

Born in 1962, Demi Moore started her career as a model before beginning her acting career with General Hospital as a teenager. She rose to prominence with films such as Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal, before becoming the world’s highest-paid actress with Striptease in 1996. After taking on supporting roles in the first two decades of the 21st century, Demi re-entered Hollywood mainstream with The Substance in 2024.
