Days after being elected as the MP in Mandi, Kangana Ranaut received a slap at the Chandigarh airport. This came from CISF personnel Kulwinder Kaur, who was irked with how the politician handled the matter pertaining to Farmer’s Protest. An inquiry committee was in place to investigate into the matter and now we learn that Kaur has not only been suspended but also arrested for the slap.

News18 reports that Kulwinder Kaur has been arrested after slapping Kangana Ranaut, who won after contesting elections in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Kaur was suspended a day after the slap incident. It is now reported that she is behind bars as well.

Divided views on the incident

While there are people who believe that Kangana was wronged, there are others who side by the personnel. She received support from The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha in particular. They have spoken up about thoroughly investigating the matter, since the members are of the belief that Kaur is being wronged.

Recalling the incident in a video which is now going viral, Kangana claimed that Kaur was waiting for a woman to pass in order to be able to slap Kangana. The actress further claimed that Kaur started hurling abuses at her. Kangana clarified that the move was owing to the anger and wrath regarding BJP’s stand on the Farmer’s Protest held in Punjab. Before ending the video, the actress-politician said, “I am safe but my concern is how to handle the terrorism and violence in Punjab.” The slap incident took place two days after Kangana was elected and made her political debut.

Another video of Kaur is also going viral. In the same, she is heard talking about Kangana’s statement of farmers protesting in Delhi because they were paid Rs. 100-200. Kaur was unable to keep her calm because her mother was among the protestors as well.
