Following the remarkable success of Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023) at the box office, speculation arose regarding a potential collaboration between Sameer Vidwans and Kartik Aaryan. Nearly a year later, it seems they have identified the narrative they were searching for. According to Midday, they are currently in the process of finding a producer for the love story they have chosen.

Kartik Aaryan's request for another romantic drama

A trustworthy source has disclosed to the tabloid that Kartik was so infatuated with Sameer during the filming of Satyaprem Ki Katha that he asked Sameer to locate another romantic drama script for him to lead. The director has recently offered a script that has thoroughly intrigued the actor.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, known for his work on Satyaprem Ki Katha, was the preferred choice for collaboration. The team was eager to partner with Sajid to recapture the enchantment of their initial project, as noted by an insider. This presented a prime opportunity for Sameer Vidwans to reunite with the producer, especially since they had previously established a two-film agreement. Regrettably, Sajid declined the proposal due to his commitments to four films slated for next year: Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan; Housefull 5, with Akshay Kumar; Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff; and a project on Hussain Ustara directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, which will star Shahid Kapoor. Following this, the director-actor duo began searching for other studios, but their efforts were largely unsuccessful.

Kartik Aaryan's future projects remain unclear

Following a remarkable performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik has remained silent regarding his upcoming projects. At present, it is uncertain whether the actor's romantic drama directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar will be part of the Aashiqui series or if it will stand alone as an independent film. Additionally, a sequel to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh is in the works. Consequently, the release date for the actor's collaboration with Sameer remains undetermined.

The insider, however, expresses confidence that it will come to fruition in the near future. The source further elaborated that the relationship between Sameer and Kartik transcends the typical director-actor dynamic; their friendship has been established over many years. As a driven performer, the actor is committed to ensuring that this concept is realized.
