Similar to the Vishal-led project, which finally premiered after a decade, Dhruva Natchathiram, featuring Vikram in the lead role, has also experienced significant delays, spanning nearly eight years. The favorable reception and triumph of Madha Gaja Raja have heightened expectations for Dhruva Natchathiram.
After Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja, fans want Dhruva Natchathiram release
After a 12-year wait, Madha Gaja Raja, produced by Vishal and Sundar C, was released in theaters on January 12, coinciding with Pongal. To the surprise of many, the film emerged as the top performer during the Pongal season, achieving the highest box office collection and resonating well with audiences.
As fans revel in the success of this film, they are also eagerly anticipating the release of another long-delayed Tamil project, Dhruva Natchathiram. This film, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Vikram, is a spy action thriller that has faced multiple postponements, leaving fans disappointed each time a release date was announced. Currently, an official release date for Dhruva Natchathiram remains unconfirmed.
Gautham Vasudev Menon: Suriya saying no to Dhruva Natchathiram was really upsetting for me
In a recent interview, Gautham Menon expressed his disappointment regarding Suriya's decision not to participate in Dhruva Natchathiram. The director conveyed that he believed the actor should have had confidence in him, given their previous successful collaborations.
"I don't believe Suriya should have declined Dhruva Natchathiram. He was presented with the script, and we had discussions, but ultimately, he chose not to proceed. He could have placed his trust in the director who created Vaaranam Aayiram and Kaakha Kaakha," Menon stated.
Gautham Menon also mentioned that he draws inspiration from the success of Madha Gaja Raja and expressed his belief that Dhruva Natchathiram will remain relevant and not appear outdated.
