Aditi Sharma Responds to Husband Abhineet Kaushik's Cheating Claims: 'I Was Not the Abuser'

Television actress Aditi Sharma has addressed the allegations of infidelity and domestic abuse made against her by her husband, Abhineet Kaushik. As the couple is currently in the process of separation, Aditi has asserted that the "domestic abuse did not originate from me." She chose to limit her comments, citing that the matter is currently under judicial consideration.

In a recent interview with India Forums, Aditi responded to Abhineet's accusations made during their separation, stating, “Shortly after our marriage, I encountered severe marital conflicts. I endured significant mistreatment and other issues that I cannot reveal at this moment due to ongoing legal proceedings. This prompted my decision to seek a separation, which I desired to be as peaceful as possible. Both families engaged in discussions and agreed that an amicable separation was the best course of action. He has shown disrespect towards me and my family in front of our friends on numerous occasions, whereas I have never disrespected his family. My lawyers have advised me to refrain from discussing this matter further. However, I can assert that any domestic abuse did not originate from my side. I genuinely loved him and intend to speak the truth without concealing anything.”
Aditi also addressed the rumors regarding their marriage being a secret that she attempted to conceal from her fans and family, clarifying that while the ceremony was private, it was not a secret. She explained, “Indeed, it was a private event, but it was not a secret marriage. My family, close friends, and relatives were aware of it. It was not hidden, but rather kept private. Given my established career, we believed it would be unwise to make a public announcement at that time, especially since I was filming for Apollena, where I portrayed an 18-year-old character. Therefore, we both agreed to keep it under wraps.”
Abhineet's allegations against Aditi Sharma
In a previous interview with India Forums, Abhineet suggested that Aditi had an affair with a co-star from her series, Apollena. Abhineet's legal representatives claimed that Aditi and her family disputed the legitimacy of their marriage, referring to it as merely a 'mock trial,' and even requested ₹25 lakh for the dissolution of their union.
Aditi is widely recognized for her performances in television series such as Kaleerein, Rabb Se Hai Dua, and Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan.
