Aditi Pohankar Discusses Her Role as Pammi in Aashram: 'This Experience Was More of a Discovery Than a Challenge'

At the trailer launch of Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 on Wednesday, Aditi Pohankar, who portrays Pammi, spoke with deep emotion about her experience in embodying such a multifaceted character. She conveyed her profound gratitude for the opportunity, recognizing how this role has significantly impacted her life.
Aditi remarked, "Prakash Jha and Bobby Deol have provided me with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to portray something truly distinctive. Witnessing Pammi's evolution from a small-town girl to her current self has been remarkable. It is always astonishing to observe that transformation unfold."
She further expressed, “I am grateful to Prakash Sir. The cast of Aashram has become like family to me. My late father took great pride in my involvement in this role. After his passing, I found a supportive family here. The moments we shared each evening—conversing and connecting—were invaluable to me."
Regarding the challenges of portraying Pammi, Aditi explained, “I wouldn’t categorize it as challenging; rather, it was a journey of discovery. This journey was an extraordinary experience, made possible by the exceptional writing and direction, along with the trust that Prakash Sir placed in me. I underwent numerous auditions, and upon recognizing the depth of the character, I realized this was a project I wanted to be part of. Prakash Sir has always been among the top directors I aspired to collaborate with in my career."
She also spoke about the physical changes required for the role, stating, "Some elements of the role posed challenges, particularly the body transformation. However, the entire cast was exceptional. It was a truly collaborative process—there was a mutual exchange of support. The other women in the wrestling camp were incredibly helpful to me. Ultimately, portraying Pammi was a journey of self-discovery. She is a character that evolves and reveals many new facets. To be honest, I cannot recall exactly how I managed it, but it was an immensely fulfilling experience."
The cast of Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 includes Bobby Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Darshan Kumaar, Sachin Shroff, Anurita Jha, and Rajeev Siddhartha.
The series is directed and produced by Prakash Jha, with the screenplay crafted by the PJP Team, Madhvi Bhatt, Sanjay Masoom, and Avinash Kumar.
