The police in Hyderabad, Telangana, apprehended Telugu YouTuber and actor Prasad Behra on Wednesday. A complaint was lodged by one of his co-stars, claiming that he had been subjecting her to sexual harassment for several months, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.

The police informed the publication that the victim lodged a complaint claiming that Prasad had been subjecting her to sexual harassment over the past few months. During a filming session, he allegedly acted inappropriately towards her and 'touched her in an indecent manner,' as stated in the report.

Additionally, it has been reported that a case has been filed against Prasad under sections 75(2) and 79,351(2) of the BNS. He was apprehended by the police on Wednesday, subsequently presented in court, and placed under a 14-day remand. The victim had collaborated with Prasad on a web series for a YouTube channel.

The complaint further asserts that Prasad encountered the woman during the web series shoot and exhibited 'inappropriate' behaviour towards her. She claimed that when she attempted to resist his advances on a separate occasion, he persisted in his misconduct. It is reported that more recently, on December 11, Prasad allegedly assaulted her as she was returning home from filming, which led her to file the complaint.

Prasad has not yet issued a statement or responded to the allegations made against him. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter. The actor-YouTuber gained recognition for his role in Committee Kurrollu, produced by Niharika Konidela, and is set to appear in the upcoming film Bachhala Malli alongside Allari Naresh.

An FIR was lodged against Praneeth Hanumantu, leading to his arrest after several celebrities condemned his remarks regarding paedophilia. Similarly, Fun Bucket Bhargav encountered accusations of harassing a minor. Shanmukh Jaswant faced difficulties due to allegations of drug abuse, while Vinay Shanmukh was accused of fraud and sexual misconduct.
