Manoj Santoshi, the writer behind Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, has passed away after fighting liver cancer. In light of this, actress Shilpa Shinde, who previously starred in the lead role of the show, has claimed that his death was a result of medical negligence.

Shilpa Shinde highlights issues of medical negligence

In a chat with Times Now, Shilpa, who was managing the finances for Manoj's treatment, mentioned that she had flown to Mumbai from Secunderabad for just two days for work and accused the hospital of medical negligence during that period. She stated that Manoj was left without proper care.

Shilpa expressed her frustration, saying, “I’ll put it simply: it’s a terrible business. Hospitals are great at making money. They even do dialysis for deceased patients! This is purely the doctor’s negligence. KIMS, Secunderabad Hospital is where liver transplants happen, and honestly, I can’t tell if the people there are doctors or barbers.”

She shared the emotional ups and downs she faced when she got a call in Mumbai saying a matching organ was available for Manoj's transplant. Overjoyed, Shilpa found it hard to sleep that night, thinking she needed to handle the payment. However, her happiness was short-lived; just a few hours later, at 6 am, she received a call informing her that Manoj's condition had deteriorated and he had fallen into a coma.

She continued, “They stopped the anti-stomach medication and anesthesia overnight. The medication meant for the liver completely leaked out. When the nurse said 'sorry,' I was taken aback and replied, 'What do you mean, sorry?' I even asked if they wanted his kidney, assuming he had no family. They were doing dialysis just to show me, but I could clearly see he was gone.”

Manoj Santoshi has passed away

Manoj Santoshi, known for writing the hit sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, passed away at 49 from liver complications. He had been fighting liver cancer and sadly lost his battle on March 23 in a Secunderabad hospital. Although he was scheduled for a liver transplant, complications arose, leading to his untimely death. He was with his family when he took his last breath.
