In 2023, Aamir Khan reached out to the director, describing the film as an 'absolute gem' and expressed a desire to produce a Hindi remake, even arranging a meeting with him. Nevertheless, actor Azees Nedumangad disclosed to the Reporter the reasons behind his decision to withdraw from the project.

Azees  When questioned about the absence of a Hindi remake despite Aamir's evident enthusiasm, the actor who had a significant role in the original film explained, “Discussions took place regarding the casting, and it was determined that the actress who portrayed the mother in the Malayalam version would also reprise her role in the Hindi adaptation. They contemplated extending this approach to the rest of the cast, as they struggled to find suitable actors for the remaining character roles. Ultimately, due to the challenges in casting as desired, the project was abandoned.”

When Aamir Khan texted Vipin Das about the film

In 2023, Vipin disclosed that Aamir sent him a message regarding the film "Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey." The Bollywood icon described it as an "absolute gem" and a "beautifully crafted film." He also shared photographs with Aamir, expressing gratitude for his interest in the project. Vipin wrote, "One day, while a small-town filmmaker was purchasing groceries at a local shop, he received a message about his modest film #jayajayajayajayahey from a legendary superstar, which felt akin to #taarezaminpar. It became even more surreal when Aamir called and said, 'Hi Vipin, this is Aamir Khan.' At that moment, I experienced my first heart attack."

Aamir is currently engaged in producing and acting in Sitaare Zameen Par and Lahore 1947. Additionally, there are rumors of him making a cameo appearance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Coolie, which stars Rajinikanth.
